The portrait series draws attention to our throwaway culture. Everyday plastic packaging — usually discarded without thought — has been given new life, transformed into Renaissance-inspired costumes. The dialogue between short-lived contemporary materials and a historical setting creates a striking contrast between eras, revealing how much waste accumulates per person in such a short time. The portraits focus on representations of privilege, underlining how those in more advantaged positions contribute disproportionately to the crisis of overconsumption.
